Spicy Anchovies on a Sunday

It is a Sunday.  Nothing much.  Just had a very early breakfast of coffee and wheat bun before I decided to sleep.  My routine is like this:  it’s either I have a very early breakfast or I don’t have breakfast at all.  The only meal of the day I get to eat on time is dinner.  And the food item that can be considered a staple for me is coffee.    I may pass up on rice but I gotta have my coffee.  I don’t care if it is brewed, instant, black, or loaded as long as it has a healthy dose of caffeine in it.

I also had a lot of spicy dried anchovies. I like it a lot as it is surprisingly tasty, considering I prepared it.  I stir-fried the anchovies and then let it simmer in a mixture of sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, and sugar.  Not exactly guilt-free but it will do as an appetizer.  Plus, it is a creative way of getting rid of the dried anchovies at home.  We have lots of it in our freezer.  It’s sickening, really.
