Dieter’s Pothole

Category : General Dieting and Weight Loss

I believe  I just encountered one major obstacle tonight.  I realized it is very difficult to keep track of   food portions when dining out with a group.  I mean, I find it easy to eat by myself or with my boyfriend be conscious of every morsel after morsel of food that enters my mouth.  But if you are dining with a group of people, you tend to forget your food servings as you try to keep up with the conversations.  Get-togethers can be a dieter’s pothole so I should learn to change the way I eat when I am with a group.  Tsk, tsk.

Right Back on Track

I got so hungry early this morning that I just had to eat something.  I had to choose between ripe papaya and white bread (hmmm…I wonder where did the whole wheat buns go) and naturally, I chose the fruit.  One good thing about where I live is that we never run out of papaya.  My whole family loves to have papaya during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Sweet Temptations

Oh no, this is not a very good start.  I’m supposed to start this weight loss blog with so much optismism but I just had to start this nth attempt at weight loss by pigging out on sweet.

Gad, why did I have to eat all those sweets?  I say I could’ve done without the durian tart  because it had lots of condensed milk and  sugar in it  but it was so delicious I just couldn’t pass it up.

I also had lots of iced tea.  Drat, why can’t I just settle for plain water? Water is healthier and guilt-free.
